Aylesworth Art
I have been an active student of nature and art since my early childhood. A native of NW Indiana, I grew up in a large, loving, farm family, surrounded by animals, woods, and wide open spaces. I was indeed fortunate in my upbringing.I attended Indiana University with Fine Arts as my major. After college, I took a summer job with the US Forest Service in Idaho, and from that job I landed another with the USFS fire crew out of Leavenworth, WA, where I met my husband. I so loved the mountains, rivers, wildlife, and community, that I have resided here ever since. I have participated in Village Art in the Park in Leavenworth (Washington's longest running art show) for nearly 20 years, traveled to countless regional outdoor shows with my artwork, and also painted many commissioned works. I've experimented in many different artistic mediums, Including watercolor, oil, pastel, and mixed media, and in painting abstract, non-representational art as well as realistic art styles. I have found that I am a realist by nature. For me, Mother Nature says it best. And to me, the amazement of nature is often in the detail. I paint because I love the act of painting, the form of expression, and the thought and technical process that is involved. Throughout my life, I have found my strongest voice and best connections with humanity through my art. Communicating and connecting is what I hope to achieve through my art.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
